Visiting professor of Imperial College  London, TWI academic committee member, chief editor of Aeronautical  Manufacturing Technology and International Journal of Lightweight  Materials and Manufacture, editorial board member of Journal of  Plasticity Engineering,chairman of CSAA manufacturing  engineering branch, chairman of superplastic forming technology committee of CMES  Plasticity engineering branch. 

 

Curriculum Vitae  (CV)

Professor  Zhiqiang Li was graduated tom Northwestern Polytechnical University in 1986  and then joined AVIC Beijing Aeronautical Manufacturing Technology Research  Institute (BAMTRI) in the same year. He obtained his Ph.D degree from  University of Science and Technology Beijing.

Before  being the President of AVIC Manufacturing Technology Institute (MTI), Prof.  Li has over 30 years solid research experience in manufacturing technology,  especially in Superplasticity, for aircraft components and equipments. He has  rich experience in materials processing and aeronautical & astronautic  manufacturing engineering. His research interests involves superplastic forming  (SPF)/diffusion bonding (DB) technology of Titanium, forming technologies of  complex structures, spinning process and equipment, metal matrix composites  fabrication, forming and reinforcement with shot peening technology, stretch  forming with reconfigurable tooling..

In  addition, Prof Li also contributes to scientific research through many other  research organizations. He is the visiting professor at Imperial College  London and the research committee member of The Welding Institute (TWI) in  the UK. He established and acted as the Chief Editor for the International  Journal of Lightweight Materials and Manufacture.
